How has Karate benefited you most?

Something that has benefitted me from karate, which I’ll talk about a little later, is being able to put together my martial arts practice with my musical practice, especially since music is my career outside of teaching for Young Champions.

Reason you started doing Karate?

Part of my interest in karate came from the cartoons I watched in my youth… a lot of which had fighting scenes in some episodes, if not every episode; I received a flyer for YC’s program during school and wanted to learn how to fight from there.

words that describe your teaching style?

Technical, but practical, art form

Most rewarding part of teaching youth?

The most rewarding part of being an instructor is being able to share my knowledge with the students and seeing them eager to learn what’s next.

3 Hobbies you have outside of Karate?

The most rewarding part of being an instructor is being able to share my knowledge with the students and seeing them eager to learn what’s next.

What have you taken with you from being in Karate?

Interdisciplinary practice… meaning that I integrated some of my karate practices into my musical practice, and I integrated some of my musical practices into my karate practice and instruction.
