YOUNG CHAMPIONS

Young Champions Cheerleading with over 20 years of experience has become the leader in the cheer industry. All students have the opportunity to perform at the Young Champions Cheerleading Competition. Cheerleading classes meet once a week. Pom-poms and uniforms are available for purchase at class and online. Participants gain a sense of team spirit, improved self-esteem, and readiness for high school cheer squad tryouts. In our program, students have the opportunity to advance from our beginner Level 1 – Level 5. Youth ages 4 to 15 are invited to enroll in the Young Champions Cheer program.

Classes: Coaches choreograph a routine which all students learn and practice throughout the session in preparation for our regional Cheer Competitions. Each week students continue to learn and add on new choreography to their routine.  Students expand their knowledge of cheerleading; jumps, kicks, stunts, dance, voice projection and cheers.  Classes are 40 minutes once a week; $10.00 if paid weekly or $9.00 when paid in full.

Advanced Class: Our higher level 4 & 5 teams receive an hour-long practice to advance their skills. These classes are $11 per class.

What to Wear to Class: The Young Champions Uniform is recommended, or students may wear t-shirt and shorts or other athletic attire.  It is recommended to wear hair in a high pony tail.  Athletic footwear required, no sandals, etc.

Competition: Our competitions are held at the end of each session.  Coaches and cheer teams show off their choreographed routine they have learned and practiced all session. Family and friends are invited to attend.  Students compete for awards and all participants go home with a participation trophy.

Cheer Clinics: Young Champions offers seasonal cheer clinics.  These clinics are designed to enhance cheer skills and stunting.  A flyer with more information will available in class when a clinic is scheduled.

Advance from Level 1 – Level 5: Achievement Poms

Every session on the second to last class students will be involved in Tryout Activities.  Students will receive an achievement colored pom and achievement certificate.  There is a $10 Achievement/Materials fee due this week. If paying weekly, this is in addition to the weekly class fee.

If you are ready to advance into a higher level, Level 3 – 5

If you are ready to advance into a higher level, Level 3 – 5

Each team must have a total of 10 or more students to advance and compete in higher levels.  If your city already has an advanced team level 3, 4 & 5 then any advancing student still needs to be evaluated by a staff member. Once students are ready for level 3, 4 & 5, the coach will inform the Director to have veteran staff come out and evaluate student(s) to the next level. The Following week the coach will receive a letter per student informing them if they passed and if not then why. Students not passing will be eligible to evaluate the following session.

Purchasing the next Level Uniform: Students may not purchase the higher level uniforms until 10 or more students attain and compete at a higher level, (Levels 3 – 5).
